firefox

Satisfied with the program but I didn't transfer my favorites when asked on download. Is there a way to get my favorites now?

If you were using IE8 you won't be able to get your favorites. If you used an earlier version of Internet Explorer you will be able to export your favorites to your computer and then import them into Firefox.

The poster wants to know whether he/she can do it (the procedure) now that Firefo is installed.

Open Firefox
File
Import
Next
Choose what you wish to import
Follow the directions from there.

I have now a problem which yesterday morning I did not have.Last night in one of the info letters here I opened a link for Firefox. It looked good so I downloaded. Before my computer ran like"butter".Now it takes an eternity to open. Each program opens but only after five or six minutes. Before I downloaded I had no trouble.Everything ran "hunkydory"as we used to say.Maybe I should erase Firefox?I got along fine with AVG before but someone told me I should also have Firefox. What is the meaning ofsome of you experts? I also have now a bar saying"this page is in English.Should it be with Google toolbar translated to german?", naturally it is written in german but I translated so you would know what it says in german. Can any one help me?

I use a Hyrican program XP.My Eons program is all english. The only thing I have in german is the mentioned bar above the window.Everything, other than my email address A------@a-----de,which is in german, is in english. My yahoo adress is also english. What do you think?Maybe eliminating a couple of programs which I seldom use, from my computer and see if that helps?I have two photo producing programs which are very seldom used.I prefer to use the Ulead Express programs.Back to what my computer is,it is now four years old.But I don`t believe that is the problem.

Just to clarify - Albin is in Germany, according to his profile. Perhaps there are issues with ISP performance and "other language" versions of Firefox that we don't have in either New Zealand, Australia or the US.

Just something to keep in mind.....

@fallleaves - can you post your question as a separate one, and add some more detail by what you mean about "slow to retrieve? Like, what sites is it slow to retrieve from? What make/model computer do you have? What operating system? How much RAM (memory) under the hood. Information like that would help us.
