Now that's really neat to hear of the real places mentioned in a real city on a fictional TV show. Well, maybe this will build his credibility...to a point.
I still don't trust Ryder completely. Not sure where this will lead. It would be great if Kevin's high degree of willingness to help his newfound brother actually helped Ryder turn himself around like Mike did to help Kevin turn his life around. I'm sure Ryder has some bad history, as did Kevin.
If this bad history is discovered, I'm sure Kevin will be the first to forgive and move on by saying he's changed, with his help, for the better, just like he has. However, I don't think Lauren, Jana or Michael will be so willing to forgive and accept the change. They never knew him or his history like they did Kevin's, thus, can't really know if he's changed for the better or not.
Who's to say that Ryder may find himself entangled in a mess with his mom that he doesn't want to be involved in anymore, like he was willing to do in the past because he likes being part of a real family (as dysfunctional as it is!) and needs Kevin and Michael to help him out.
I think Ryder is going to trip himself up and get caught in his lies. Now we know there was an older kid in that picture; perhaps a sibling -1/2 or step. And he talks like he actually lived with Tom, but I thought Michael proved that he never did when he checked out his background! So now there is a new player that we will be finding more about! I can't wait to find out who this mystery male is! And who his mystery mother is too!
The show is in Genoa City Wisconsin and there really is a city by that name.....it is near the Wisconsin Illinois border. It is in Walworth county and if you were paying attention when they had the fall harvest fest it was mentioned I believe by Murphy when talking about Pearl's pie. Since I have watched this show almost from day one there have been many references to that area of Wisconsin. If you ever pay attention when they show cars they actually have a depiction of the license plate that Wisconsin has. I pay close attention to the references to the area since I have many friends in the state.
