I am sooooooooo disappointed

I thought with all the kids in this neighborhood I would have a chance to give out candy to all the trick or treaters. I went and bought two large bags of candy, put them in a bowl, set up a table near the front door and waited, and waited, and waited. Did I give out any candy? Noooooooooooooooooo not a single door bell ringer. I am sooooo disappointed.
Last night I went bar hopping with my meetup group and saw that this town and area certainly does celebrate halloween. The bars were set up with all kinds of decorations. The posters are up for parties tonight. Even today the employees of the stores were all in costume. It was fun to be part of and watch.

The worst part of all of this is that I now have all of this candy that I will not throw away but probably eat. Did I mention I just joined a gym to help me lose weight?

Oh well that is enough venting. Happy Halloween!!!

There is a dentist here that is buying back the candy, he is paying $1 per pound and the candy is being sent to the soldiers overseas.
I did manage to give away half my candy last night. I am not sure what I will do with the rest. I will look for something local to give it away to. Or I might give it to my neighbor's kids, LOL. I am sure the parents will just love that. hehe.
Dodger I hope you did not get a tummy ache, lol.

Same thing happened to me Marty, in fact last year as well...I gave it all to my youngest daughter and she took it to the restaurant where she works and they just devoured it in one day lol. Looks like I'll be heading to Norfolk again this week :^ )

At least you did not have to eat it all yourself Dad. LOL. Nice to hear from you. Have a great day.

I only had one trick/treater. My house is set way back and I guess it's too long a walk. I have tons of candy left too. But I am a choclaholic.....so I've got to try to give it away too. I've tried hiding it in the past, but then I always know where to find it...LOL!

I think donating candy for the troops is a great idea....but I wonder if most Halloween candy would withstand the trip to where most of our troops are stationed. It's suppose to be very hot over there.

Good advice, Sam. Even if I buy candy I don't like, I end up eating some. My son needs to take what's left to work with him. It's not a whole lot as I gave out handfuls!
