I am sooooooooo disappointed

I thought with all the kids in this neighborhood I would have a chance to give out candy to all the trick or treaters. I went and bought two large bags of candy, put them in a bowl, set up a table near the front door and waited, and waited, and waited. Did I give out any candy? Noooooooooooooooooo not a single door bell ringer. I am sooooo disappointed.
Last night I went bar hopping with my meetup group and saw that this town and area certainly does celebrate halloween. The bars were set up with all kinds of decorations. The posters are up for parties tonight. Even today the employees of the stores were all in costume. It was fun to be part of and watch.

The worst part of all of this is that I now have all of this candy that I will not throw away but probably eat. Did I mention I just joined a gym to help me lose weight?

Oh well that is enough venting. Happy Halloween!!!

I had 13 kids. There are a lot of parties and neighborhood activities. I wonder if that's where all the kids are.

Oh, me too, Marty. I was set for many more trickers. I was giving out granola bars, hmmm maybe the word got out. You don't have to eat all that candy, you can hook up with me and I could put them in boxes for our soldiers. How 'bout that?

Hey, there's a good idea, fella. Donate your candy and do some good.

Same thing happened here too Fella......not one single trick or treater. I thought at least the little girl next door and her friends would come over....but not.

Good idea to donate the candy....I usually don't eat it anyway.

I didn't buy that much. I send what's left with my son. He'll take it into his work for his fellow pizza makers. They're all college kids so they eat anything.

So...did you give each of those lucky kids a huge handful of goodies? Ha!

Been there, done that. Left holding the bag of candy, that is. It just isn't the same as when we were kids. Last year I had more teens without costumes looking for hand-outs than I had neighbors. Didn't do it this year and from the looks of my neighborhood tonight, not too many others did either. It's sad.

Maybe it is because it is saturday and tomorrow is not a school day so they are all able to go to parties and not door to door.
