What Do You Think of "Married But Looking"?

Lately, I've been seeing more and more ads that say "Married But Looking". What do you think of such ads and the people who post them?

I think it is an appalling lack of personal ethics.

Yep...and there is a group on Eons called Married but Looking to Cheat. Sometimes I wonder what people are thinking.

Sometimes I think these people are just bored and need a hobby. They appear to have a blatant disregard for their mates, themselves and marriage itself. I can't judge the motives of such people but for the most part I would say it is selfish.

I agree with Ladydulcinea. I sure wouldn't want to have anything to do with them. They obviously have no self respect or respect for their mates.

I will reserve any judgement on my part until their story is told. May not have been in their shoes.
I know that there are ppl who would answer their post.
Me personally would not, but you never know the circumstances other than the out and out blatant jerk.

Christine is right. It's cheating, plain and simple.

Poolgrandma is right when she said we don't know the "circumstances" surrounding these ads. The person could be in an abusive relationship or may just be extremely lonely. Maybe their mate is literally driving them crazy in some way and they feel they need an outlet in order to keep their sanity. But, even under the "circumstances" mentioned it is still pretty hard to justify someone placing an ad like this. There are always healthier ways to respond to situations we may feel trapped in ie: counseling, support groups and even divorce. Placing and answering such ads I believe is only going to make matters worse and complicate what may already be a bad situation. But, then again there may be people who are perfectly satisfied with their mates but who just want to tickle their ego by fooling around. I might pay that Eons "Cheater" site a visit and see if I can make more sense out of why people are placing these ads.
