yes, we all experience that same thing, mooselver. Not only have I had an increase in length but width as well. Then too, I think as we grow older, we are more prone to want comfort and going a tad bit larger helps.

It has to be the shoe size because same thing has happened to me...A while ago i was a 7and a half..
Now a 9 and a half....Oh well have a nice day...I know sometimes it can depend on the different shoe but not to go to that much of a larger size..lol
difference in shoes made in the USA and those made in CHINA.....they all have smaller feet so the sizes are smaller...*S* same with clothes
Do you think all our shoes are made in China anymore Utahjim ?? I wore a 51/2 in my twenties..over the years the size has gone up about 1/2 size every ten years..I am now in an eight...I wonder if our feet continue to grow and change as other parts of our body do ?? makes sense !!
I thought that having sons caused my feet to get bigger...LOL went from 7 to 9 1/2 or 10 now. Also walking on concrete halls for those 27 years at school made them get wider. Guess it is better to stand on a large foundation!!!!
Feet do grow.....and sizes do change. I wore a 6 for years, then it went up a half size for many more years and now a 7 or 7 1/2, but I still can eaisly wear my 7 shoes.....style, material, and whee made
seem to make the greatest difference.

I like your response HoppyLady!! I too had 2 son's--that HAS to be the reason my feet are so big. it's their fault and I'm telling them so.
thats my story and I'm stickin to it!!
moose..that's funny...do I get to double it...I have 4 sons....laughing
I have 4 sons also. I wore a size 6 and now I wear a 61/2. I do have a wide foot though. Everyone in my family had small feet. My Mom wore a size 5 and my Dad wore a size 8 from what I remember.
I can wear any size from 5 to 61/2 comfortably. A lot of the difference comes from the manufacturers having patterns that the size grading is different. Some manufacturers have wider and longer patterns, the same as clothing manufacturers. Naturalizers, Nine West, and a # of others seem to be more narrow, I have to have longer ones in those brands. I, too, pounded the concrete, and have 4 kids. Also, I have gained weight, and that contributes to, aarrgghh, bigger feet. Happy Hunting! Njean1
