What is It?

Hi,
Since I have some woods in the back of my yard, I have started planting more native plants. I found a plant in the woods at a friend's house this week that I have never seen before. It has enlongated leaves and berries. The seed pod has a purple cap with red berries under it.
I hope someone can tell me what the name of this plant might be.
I will try to post a picture here. If I can't, then I will most it in my profile pictures.

Thanks to the Atlanta Native Plant Society, I learned that it is:

Euonymus americanus. A couple of common names are,
Hearts-a-Bustin' and Strawberry Bush.

I'm glad to find someone else who appreciates their native flora. Nice pictures. Native plant societies provide valuable assistance in identifying these overlooked gems. I've put together a native plants of Texas picture album on my profile. Please visit.
