Happy Halloween!

Boo! Good morning. Do you guys get lots of trick or treaters? We usually don't, I have candy on hand just in case, but unfortunately we usually end up eating it. In fact, Tom's gone through the first batch I bought already. :x

A reminder that tomorrow, well, tonight, I guess is when most people do it, to set clocks back an hour. FALL back.... except in some places in AZ.

ALSO, remember to say Rabbit, Rabbit! first thing in the morning. You wanna get that good luck going for the month, right? :D

Spooky Reading, all!

Happy Halloween to Barb and everyone. I don't usually have any Trick/Treaters so I haven't bought any candy. Just hope that I don't get invaded as I have nothing to give them. I think a lot of parents quit taking the children around because of things that have happened in the past and I don't blame them. People can be so mean these days. Don't think anywhere is completely safe any more.
I have just started reading "Thirteen Moons" by Charles Frazier. This book was on the best seller list last year or the year before but I never got around to it. I'm sure some of you here have already read it.
It's a rainy miserable day here in Georgia, just hope the weather will improve as I need some sunshine to brighten up the place.
Wonder why Arizona doesn't change the time?? Anyone know?

No tricksters here either. We sit up on a hill & we're out in the country. I always buy some little something just in case - but I'm like Tom - I end up eating it. So I have dark chocolate Kisses.
Just gave up on a book - just couldn't get into this Pendergast one, Dance of Death. This one evidently introduces a trilogy dealing with Pendergast's evil brother, Diogenes. I've enjoyed the others so I don't know why this one just didn't grab me. I may try again another day. I've got Solomon & Lord going. Thanks to the kindness of one of our group I didn't have to wait for the library to find their misplaced copy.

I'm also reading The Help which has been mentioned here. LOVING IT!!!

Nasty, rainy here too Jimsgarbo. Yuck - think I'll stay indoors. As for the time change - AZ is smart - I hate time change. We just had a power outage last week so I had to re-set all the clocks - and now I get to do it again!!!!

carci, we hate this time we'll be going to. We get up early enough as it is, so with this clock change... :(

bopeep, I bought some dark chocolate covered almonds not long ago, I think they're by Hershey, and they are wonderful!

Tom played with our clocks about a week ago, several were slow or fast, and now I realized that hey, he'll get to do it again.... :x

We did something different and fun for our little ones at my church yesterday. The Moms Club organized a Trunk or Treat. The kids all got dressed up in their costumes, ate pizza, and then went from decorated car to decorated car where their parents handed out treats from their trunks. I was there with my 4 "adopted" grandsons and their family. On Tuesday Marla, their mom, my friend Mary Ann (who made the "mistake" of admitting she missed making Halloween costumes now that her children are all grown) and I made M&M costumes for the boys; they were so cute!! I'll try to post a picture when the parents send them to me. The boys will be 17 months old on Wednesday. Life is good!!

coronalady, what a fun idea, the Trunk or Treat! I'm going to share that one. I hope you are able to post a picture of the M&M's, they must be just adorable!

I am looking forward to those photos too. It's sunny and warm here. I think the folks in Arizona have more sense. I hate all this moving the clocks back and forth.

Coronalady- our church had a trunk or treat too. It was great fun! We have about 12 bags worth of candy's worth of trick-or-treaters in our neighborhood! I think some parents brign their kids from less densely populated neighborhoods to trick or treat in ours!
