There has been a lot published in the past about certain dyes in lipstick possibly causing cancer.

I have my favorites, like Burt's Bees & Kiss My Face glosses. Occasionally I use actual lipstick, but not near as often as I used to.

Hello!
I'm new to this group so normally wouldn't post a link to my blog site, but given that the title of my blog spot, is Lipstick for Lunch? I thought it appropriate to share. I believe the dye in question, was red because it included lead. However I have heard that the media blitz was somewhat scewed.

red dye number 40 is cancer causing. so studies show. they left red dye number 40 on some products because companies said their products would not sell if they did not have the dye in it.

So I read and if it has red dye 40 in it I don't buy it..
