Halloween Night - years ago

This is my first halloween on Eons and I want to tell you about my experience as a freshman in teachers' college umpteen years ago.Freshmen weren't allowed to participate in fun stuff so I was a mere on-looker (Thank God for that)
The principal and her mom lived on campus as well and so late on halloween night when everything was calm and quiet some seniors dressed up in their sheets and roamed campus. About 6 of them passed by the principals residence and guess what happened?
The principal's mom had a heart attack ...... Unfortunate !!
Halloween was banned for the rest of my college life.
Does anyone know if Halloween celebrations ever returned to Shortwood Teachers' College?

I'm still trying to wrap my brain around Halloween in Jamaica, that's just not one of our holidays that I can recall.

It was not celebrated much but was observed in residential institutions where there was a wide cross section of students. However, over the years it became no less the done thing than the USA. It is a BIG affair there now......
