Reality simply means what is there at that moment in front of your SENSES...
Do not try to interpret it or Fancy it !
It is a fact !! not to be denied!

Did you know that your example is precisely the argument G. E. Moore, who, with Bertrand Russell is considered the founders of Analytic Philosophy, gave for "proof" of the existence of the "external world"

Raouf--I like it.

I believe that reality is not dependent upon my experiences, let alone my existence. The universe existed, was real, long before there was any one to experience it. I would characterize Reality as that which does not depend upon being experienced in order to exist.

As soon as I am able to determine that Reality exists, I will work on defining it and get back to you.

I keep asking the question, who should determine what is Reality? The boy who dreams he is a butterfly, or the butterfly who dreams he is a boy?
