Warning/Beware!

Watch this before getting an H1N1 Flu Shot:

A Big FYI - some doctors are not even getting the shot as they say it hasn't been tested enough. (Is the public being treated as 'guinea pigs'?)

I dont think I have ever had "flu" I am not in the risk group for H1N1, so, washing hands, keeping my hands away from my mouth, nose, eyes--I want that to work for me!

I have never gotten a flu shot before and not going to start now. They are now saying the immunizations shots we got as children are no longer effective and we need to get them again.. because of outbreaks.

3 weeks ago I had a flu shot. The next day I felt fluish. It seemed like for the next two weeks I was sluggish and out of sorts, didn't want to do anything, tired all the time. Then last week I got the flu. It lasted 4-5 days and it was horrible. I called the doc and they said not to come in until it was 3 days old with a fever. They would not give me tamaflu.
Everybody reacts different to it, I am sure. I have gotten flu shots in previous years w/o any side effects.
If vaccines work so well, why is my nephew deaf and blind because of menengitis? He had his menegitis shots! They said it was a different strain. I am going to use that excuse for everything I do that doesn't work!

I have never gotten a flu shot. I had the flu about 15 years ago, and not since. Perhaps the vaccines are sort of like religion --- if you believe in them, they tend to work. If not, well the opposite might occur.

I am becoming more and more wary of vaccines, especially for flu.

Well, since there are so many strains out there of the 'regular' kind of flu, getting that shot seems almost futile. I got the shot and still got the flu. They do say, however, that getting the flu shot may lessen the symptoms if you do contract another strain. I guess I couldn't tell. Maybe I could have been sicker? I hate to think of that!
I think you are right StillAYank - maybe it is like a religion!?!? I also wonder how much of it could be psychosematic?

Back in 2007 they were giving out Free flu shots at my job. I got one, and it made me sick !
I didn't get one this year...and everyone thinks I should have. They remind me that it's FREE !
heck, I just had a bad reaction to a shot, i got previously. I don't want to be sick again....even for FREE .

You do what you think is best for you! My daughter is living with a girl that has H1N1 and I have to drive my daugther to work each day. I am high risk...the shot is not even available here!
All I can do is pray....
