I was ordered 7.5 mg daily of Mobic. I knew pretty much what it was, but getting my doctor to give me a narcotic is like pulling teeth. I know the position he,s in with so many druggies trying to get their hands on the stuff, but give me a break. I,m not faking pains to get drugs. I would be in heaven if I didn,t have to take anything. I,m thinking about going to a pain clinic.
Joygirl...my insuranc company denied my surgery twice (neck with fusion) I am now going to pain management...they suggested PT which doesn't work and the meds we talked about...I was on Darvocet (narcotic) for 3 months and that really helped but it can be addicting that's why a lot of Dr. won't prescribe it.

Josee, I was on Darvocet years ago and it didn,t do squat for me. Might as well have been taking M& M,s.
Well I ended up in ER just thought I would let you all know. They ran blood & urine test, I had no blood clot by the test, but, I did have a really bad bladder infection that I had no syptoms of and that is what is causing some of the swelling in my feet & legs, the other part was neuropathy he said. Anyway the bladder infection was so bad that the poison I guess was getting ready to send me into septic shock & kidney failure.
Just stopped by for a couple of mins to check in and let everyone know what was going on and why I am not around as much.
I will be back as soon as I feel some better.
OMG! You are so lucky you went to the ER...please keep us posted.
jsw! I,m so glad you found out what it was in time. Jeeze girl! You could have gone into septic shock and died and it takes hold fast once it starts. Get well soon and keep us posted.
jsw, I didn,t want to hog your post about going to the ER, so I,m starting a new one of my own. I finally went to a different doctor and have been told its Sciatica. He gave me a Cortisone shot in my back. I,m some better today. I haven,t had trouble with my sciatica in quite some time.
I had a feeling it was Sicatica but didn't mention it...I had that before but after spinal surgery it went away...I'm so glad you are getting some relief.
