I'm sorry to hear about your wife, too. Mine also passed away last year and my 57 Chevy still sits in the garage waiting patiently for me to find time to start working on it again. Good luck with your 58.
.....................maybe we should start a Kar Klub "The Old Widowers" or something, I haven't been quite able to face my old metal yet, and deal with it. She and I always did things together, and it ain't any fun doing things all alone now. If mine were all still shiny shiny though, I would probably Kruise the old boulevard and see if I could pick up a new girl, life was much more fun with a girlfriend.........
I belong to a local car club but don't like going to the meetings and the car shows with them because they are all coupled together and I'm alone! I do find car shows to go to and either go alone or with other single friends (don't have too many single friends, though!) and still have fun. I just don't particularly like being the odd man out in a group of couples.
I know the feeling, my wife was ALWAYS with me at the shows....she loved it so. Today is the 'Toys for Tykes' show (the last of the season here), so I'm going, it's becoming Cathartic, although it took some time.
These old rides of ours serve many positive purposes !!
