We couldn't have picked a better time to go to the mountains. There was a frost a couple of days before we went up and the leaves were beautiful. This coming year we will be staying in Franklin, NC from May-October so I'll get a season other than summer!

The weather was cool and the scenery was beautiful. We visited friends in TN and GA. The day after we crossed the mountains from Asheville, NC there was a huge rockslide and I-40 will be closed for months. We were lucky!
It was a very restful trip. One can't help but feel restored after picturing such beauty. God sure was busy with His paintbrush.

Reminds me of all the fall camping we used to do in New England. Love the pics. Looks like you had a great time! Welcome back...I am leaving Monday on our cruise so I won't be online from the 2-7 of Nov.
