Not usually one to turn down a sale on shoes, I have made it a habit to refuse to purchase "rebate' items, though. Not just the chore of the paperwork, being required to put down cash and then hope they reimburse me, which fully 1/3 of the time the merchant fails to do -- I have planted my feet against purchasing any 'rebate' item, be it computer, major appliance, anything. If they want to put it on sale, then put it on sale. I just refuse to pay full price for something and then hope they give me my money back.
GG has a point, and I seem to find PLENTY of shoes available to me around here. In fact I have a bushel of shoes stashed out in my vehicle. Nice to know there are other shoeaholics amongst us !

CG....i read a report awhile back that found that the majority of people don't apply for the rebate, and that's what the manufacturer counts on.

My mom sez I don't need any more shoes, hhmmmmpf.....I purchased all these rebate free...
I always apply for my rebates, when available. I'm aware the manufacturers 'count' on those that forget to apply for a rebate. Then they take their time sending them to us. I have forgotten about them at times, and they show up months later ;p
