This time tomorrow

To some I know I seem crazy, but Colorado is under a winter storm warning and I'm thrilled. I see in my mind's eye white, I hear nothing other than the pfhit pfhit of snow hitting the ground. I know that it can cause driving problems. I know that people complain aboout the cold. I know that my buddy SueCity will have to shovel yet again.

In my own mind, however, I walk through the quiet pine trees, hear the pfhit pfhit of snow, listen toi the quiet, see the beautiful contrast of green pine trees covered in white snow, the air is cold and filled with scents of the holiday season coming very soon......I'm at peace. It simply doesn't get better than this is my world. I love winter in Colorado and winter has come early this year.Yup, I'm happy.

If it wasn't for family here in Texas, I would be in Colorado. I lived in Colorodo Springs from 1974-1978 and loved it and the snow. I so miss that beautiful white serene snow!!!!

Kiva, you are going to get your wish. You will have snow up to your butt tomorrow. I love to see the snow on the trees and love the quiet a snow storm brings. It is so relaxing. As long as I can stay inside and look at it through the window. But if I have to go out and drive in it I get very nervous.

Doesn't surprise me K...I know you love snow! No,....you LOVE snow! Lets see, its 7AM here, 5 Mountain time. has it started yet?

I love snow too but not quite this early *grin* With the leaves still on some of the trees it makes for a BIG mess.

Well, GL, it took 90 minutes for me to drive the 12 miles to my office. I wound up shutting it down at 11 because one could barely see out the windows. I'm home now and safe and I have my camcorder perched on its tripod in front of my storm door. I'm recording the falling snow and wind so I can play it back next August when we're in the horrid 80's. Life is good.

I know exactly what you mean Kivatoo. I miss those long walks in a snow storm through an Adirondack forest. So refreshing.

A snowstorm can bring problems that are sometimes difficult and dangerous to cope with, especially if you live in the mountains, but it also brings to our eyes the beauty of a snow-covered landscape and to our hearts feelings of stillness and peace.

I agree RS. We have gotten about 6 inches here and I need to go out and plow. Kiva, you stay inside and warm.
