I would be very interested in that trip since the weather here in Saint Louis sucks in February. I was close to there a few years ago in winter and the weather was great down there.
Yes I would be interestd. Looks nice. The house only holds 8 people with only 6 beds.
I don't want to rain on anyone's parade, really, but I'd like to mention to those unfamiliar with the area: "Baja California" is in MEXICO. Don't drink the water, don't eat anything which may have been washed in local water (how one determines this is a mystery to me!) and keep your wallet/purse close at hand! You cannot take a firearm into the country or you will be arrested. Do not drive into Mexico without special Mexican insurance, which you can buy here in the USA.
Mexico is also the country which has experienced many, many slayings in the past few months due to drug war activity. Hopefully, none of this will occur in a resort area where you might be. Still, it might be good to know what's going on.
Mexico is a beautiful country, and I know many, many people who have vacationed in Mexico and had a wonderful and relatively inexpensive time, so please do go and have fun. Just please be aware that this is a foreign country, they make no allowances for "gringos" who do not know the laws, and a Mexican jail is NOT where you want to find yourself!
FYI.....I also think you need either a passport, passport card or enhanced drivers license to get across the border.
You have to have a passport or passport card to return to the US from anywhere. I wonder if the astronauts get checked by the Border Patrol when they come back from trips in Space.
I've been to Rocky Point (Puerto Penasco) on the Sea of Cortez many times, as well as other places in Mexico. I don't know how far Kino Bay is from Rocky Point, but RP is straight south of Phoenix about 5 or 6 hours. I've rented houses on the beach several times with my family and have never had a problem. That doesn't mean there haven't problems, I do hear about them and I, too, would advise anyone to be careful. I know RP isn't very warm in the winter...not until about mid March. Kino may be warmer since it appears to be further south. You do have to have a passport and buy Mexican car insurance at the border. The beaches are gorgeous and it is a fun place to vacation. I've gone sometimes for a long weekend.
