Lets Find a cure
I would like to take just a moment to get up on my soap box. Many of you know that I am a Survivor. Breast Cancer - any type of cancer- is an evil thing. October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Please support finding a cure for this dreaded disease.
Another little thing I would like for you to consider are the people in your community or city who are battling this terrible disease now. Our local survivors group is preparing holiday foods that can be frozen and delivered to those who are fighting this disease. When you fight this disease, it takes all of your strength and determination and the medication makes you terribly weak and ill. Imagine Thanksgiving and Christmas while you fight this disease. I remember both holidays when I was fighting it. I had no hair, I was too weak to stand long enough to cook a meal and even if I could, the smell of food cooking for a long period of time would make me nauseated. Things are rough on the family caring for us too and this helps them so very much. These foods will already be cooked so they will only have to defrost and warm them up. If you have a friend, neighbor or know of someone fighting cancer during the holidays, this is an easy thing to do and will be appreciated by them more than you know.
