Haven't gone anywhere to speak of but thanks for the welcome back, guys.
Lately I've been busy trying to solve a landscaping problem. A part of our backyard landscaping was our neighbor's 100-year-old oak trees - two of them. Would you believe she had them removed completely leaving her place looking absolutely nude . . . and it did the same for our back yard. Shame on her!! I bought the biggest clump of river birch I could find and planted it toward the back corner of the yard. They grow pretty fast but it'll take a few years to do much good. Also planted three crepe myrtles which I'll train into trees. Also pampas grass and some other grasses will fill in some of the empty spots in the alley behind.
