Overdose?

I nearly freaked out Sunday. My hubby wanted to help by giving the girls their monthly meds. Well, to make a long story short, they got 2 doses of their heartworm meds. Of course it was on Sunday, but I called our vet at home anyway and luckily he said there was no need for concern. Whew! After it was all over, out came the tears. Man! If I'd given them the overdose, I'd never have forgiven myself!!!

Keep Gracie in your prayers tomorrow. She's getting her hysterectomy tomorrow, Tues. Shes just so little. I trust the vet completely! But she's my baby.

Oh, labeachbum, I can really relate to what you're saying. I almost lost Gradel a year ago when she ate the stuffing out of a toy. When your handling the problem, you're concentrating on fixing it, and once the crisis is over the relief comes out as tears. So glad they both are okay. Will say a prayer for Gracies' quick recovery from her surgery so she can come home to you and Sadie ASAP!

BTW- They are a couple of beautiful girls!

Thanks Marjorie! Gracie is soooo energetic, almost wild! He said she wouldn't WANT to be moving right afterward. Sadie went through this too, but (Alzheimer's is such a wonderful thing! Every experience is new!) I can't remember much about her recovery.

When Riley had her hyst. I think they gave her too much pain medication because she staggered around like a drunkin sailor for 2 days, then on day 3 she was jumping up and down from the bed. They are tuff little dogs!

What a wonderful picture of your two furbabies ~ They're both so cute! I'm glad there was no problem from the double dose and I sure will say a prayer for little Gracie's speedy recovery.

I think we all know what you went through, labeachbum! Until our little furbabies are all better, it is so scary, they just seem so fragile sometimes. And they trust you with all their hearts, you can see it in their eyes! As often as I've gone through allergy reactions with TQ, it never gets easier, I'm always a wreck. I'm so glad all is ok...best of luck with little Gracie today ~ sounds like Sadie might have a little break for a day or two! But I'm sure Gracie will be back at it in no time!

What cute babies I want to hug and kiss both of them and tell them what a good mama they have!! but I'm sure they know how lucky they are.

Well, Gracie is fine and dandy! We picked her up Tuesday afternoon, she was shivering in the office, so we wrapped her in a beach towel that was in the truck. (yes, big beach towel, little baby). She cried and whined very quietly, all the way home. So pitiful! We came in and sat on the couch, and stayed there all evening. Except for giving her to Daddy so I could change into my jammies, I held her the whole time, even through eating tacos. She and I slept in the recliner because I wasn't sure how rough Sadie might be or if we might roll on her during the night. She was almost back to normal Wednesday, but today she's been raring to go!
Thanks all for the prayers and best wishes!

Great news! So glad to hear no complications or problems. What a relief to have her home, eh? She probably cried because she was so happy to see you, and knew she was going home!
