That's so lovely - thanks for sharing! Couldn't you just spend forever in there even if you couldn't speak/read German?
It's looks so beautiful and welcoming. I'm sure I could get lost in there for a while! Thanks for the pic.
Definitely could enjoy an afternoon or two there...
How lovely! It brings back fond memories of my travels in Germany. People were so nice. I had a conversation with a German bookstore clerk who said she thought Germans were rather stand-offish and unfriendly compared with people elsewhere. I told her that had not been my experience at all! In my experience, Germans were always very friendly and eager to talk with me (in English, if they spoke it at all), but always respectful of a person's wish to be quiet if they sensed that was what someone preferred. I had so many interesting conversations with people.
I have to agree with you on that. The people were very friendly and helpful. I even found the French in Paris to be friendly and helpful. My in laws had traveled to France some years ago in one of those travel groups that see 5 countries in 2 weeks and when they came back said the French people were cold and unfriendly. We were in Paris for 8 days and i didn't find that to be true at all. While in Germany we had some nice conversations with Germans on the train.
Wow - this is a delightful picture! Makes you want to be there! Thanks for the post!!
