Does the book not give you any hints on how to do this? Sounds about right, doesn't it?
When I went on disability, I never had to do a single thing. One day my card arrived in the mail and told me when it would be active and that was that. Now I get the new book each year. Happened the same way for my sister as well. You really don't have to do anything if you are under disability vs regular SS, to my knowlwdge.
Haven't been in this group much lately, but saw KULPN's question.

is there a customer service number? i would go that route
It says I can ignore the letter and ignore the online registration and that an actual letter and form will come in the mail...guess I'll do that since I have till Feb.

if you have applied this may be alright but I would check closely for scam..............i don't remember doing that .....or make phone call to medicare to validate authenticity ...............they will tell you your number if it is legit
I am not doing anything with it since it is only to open an online medicare page, like I do have for my SS. I will wait for the actual letter with the forms that get mailed to Medicare.

I'm like you KULPN, because I was disabled due to the fibro and I got the same kind of letter. I did go on-line, but only after I called the number in my letter and talked to an actual person. They dopn't make anything simple anymore.
that is the government for you. Good luck
No book came with instructions....just a form letter with a password.
