Gorgeous! If it weren't for the trees in her backyard, my sister would have a view like this from the living room of her house in Fairbanks (the house I grew up in). She has to go 1/2 a mile up the road to see the mountain. What an incredible view you have, Valley.

I just showed the picture to my wife and all she could say was, "Oh my goodness!" She said to tell you thanks as well.
It was a surprise benefit for choosing this lot when we built this house. We found out about the view only after the second story, the one with the living room, was built.

Totally awesome, I would wake the wife to show here, but I love life too much. The morning will have to do. I did not realize that Denali was that visible from Anchorage and from Fairbanks too.
We have to make that trip next year, come on economy !!!!!!!!!!!

Aw Valley, that is just so beautiful! I'm with Bug44man, I'm soooo jealous...
You do have to remember that this is zoomed and cropped. The mountain is 160 miles or so away. The picture does show what I see, though. The camera zooms just as my eyes do. I find the other mountains around us just as beautiful as Denali, and they're more often open to view.

Having just visited the Rockies in Colorado, I know exactly what you mean. That view alone would be a great reason to live where you do...
Nice shot. Reminds me of the day I took my sisters on the bus tour of Denali Park. We had a really clear view that day. Got lots of nice pictures to remember it by. I would sure like to get back there for a visit.
