What is it that the White House does not want us to know?

I was watching CNN and saw that Obama and the White House was telling us that we should not be watching Fox News. So I started watching the Fox News channel, I'm glad, it is a real eye opener. I have now changed my opinion about some of this nations leaders.

Every one should watch Fox News, before you make up your mind about anything the government is doing or plaining to do. I now see why the White house would prefer that you not watch Fox News. Fox News gives both side of the issues.

Why would any one tell people not to do something, It is only going to get them to give it a try. The government should want the public to be well informed, should en they?

US citizen should hear both sides and then make there own decision about the information they get on a issue. The White House must think the people are not capable of making good desicisions if they hear both sides of a issue. The information they receive from any one may not be true, each person must make the desicisions based on hearing both sides of an issue.

I am totally insulted by the Faux News network and will not watch it, even if I were paid. That is my decision, made long ago.

Any educated, thinking person knows it for what it is: Fake Noise.

Yep, the Faux News network gives you both sides of the issue, the far right and the far, far right.

Given that the "White House" hasn't said not to watch Fox News, I'm not sure what this rant is all about. The DID say Fox News is a mouthpiece for the Republican Party, but no one ever said not to watch it. (I wouldn't even go that far -- it's a mouthpiece for a certain small faction of the ultra-conservative right-wing-nut variety of Republican, which is trying to hold on to power in the Republican party while more moderate reasonable Republicans head for the hills ... )

Under Bush, Fox WAS a mouthpiece for the Republican Administration: "Scott McClellan admitted that Bush White House used Fox commentators as their spokespeople feeding them what they wanted the Folks™ to believe. At least that's what Scott McClellan now has acknowledeged. For those of you not as politically savvy as your typical FoxNews viewer, here's the technical way talking points work: The Bush White House told Fox News what to say and Fox News said it."

And the Treasury Dept. did try to exclude Fox News from a press briefing given by Kenneth Feinberg -- but it was not directed to do so by the White House.

I consider Fox like any other tabloid that makes up stories in order to have something to talk about. If they have no logical cogent argument for an issue, they simply lie. (As an example, Hannity said just the other night that Obama had "nationalized every industry in America." Direct quote. No references to back this up, of course, but simply presented as if it were fact.

ams - if you believe what you hear on Fox, I have some land in Florida and a nice bridge in NY for sale. Cheap, too. But you go right ahead and believe what you hear on Fox ... I'm sure Glenn Beck will be able to produce Obama's Kenyan birth certificate any day now, and Hannity is STILL waiting for a copy of the video tape that shows Michelle Obama in a rant about "whitey." Maybe you'll get to witness history being made -- and the sight of pigs levitating should be a thrill, too.

Me? I make decisions based on carefully checking statements put out by both sides -- it isn't that hard to do, you know. Too many people are simply too damned lazy to take responsibility for keeping themselves educated, preferring instead to stay ignorant (which is exactly what Fox News and those they kiss up to want you to do -- don't bother checking any facts, just trust us.).

Always check both sides of an issue.

You cannot make a good desicision by only hearing one side of a issue. What could be good for one person could be bad for many others. A desicision should be based to benefit the most people. Change should be done in small steps and easy to change if it does not work, so adjustment can be made as they need to be.

You can know about both sides of an issue by reading. Going to Fox is just listening to Republican propaganda. How sad for you that you believe them.

One can not make an intelligent informed decision listening and believing a pack of lies. That is what Fake News is, fake...I have never watched the lies they spew, but have seen coverage of it from other sources.I find it heart breaking that folks are taken in by them and despicable that they get away with it.

I found that there are way too many personal opinions to be fair and unbiased news reporting! I take everything with a grain of salt. With Fox, it's two grains!

Wow, I have to say I was taken back when you said that both sides of the issues were presented. I am not sure you were watching Fox News. It turns my stomach to even listen to those idiots.

Anyone who can watch Fox News (?) for ten minutes and believe anything coming out of that place, needs serious psychiatric therapy. Unfortunately, most of the paranoid loonies that I have to deal with, think it's the word of God!

The credibility this post is seriously compromised by the fact that the poster has very poor language skills.
