Marjorie - glad I could give you a laugh. Well, if it weren't for my little girl, she is now helping me to lose weight now because she loves to go to the grassy area (here where I live we don't have grass lawns, just a few around the clubhouse) and so it makes me get on the bike and she leads the walk and so enjoys it, plus all the attention she gets from everyone.
Isn't it something how our little wiener dogs get everyone's attention?
Yes Gothgirl - I think it because they are so short. I had a little girl who was visiting her Grandma across teh street and I was coming back from our walk and she followed me all the way into the back door and kept saying "what a cute little dog, can I pet her?"
What I find interesting is a lot of people don't know the word "dachsund". People will actually ask me what kind of a dog TQ is ~ and when I reply with dachshund, they'll ask "oh is that like a wiener dog?" And that's what I hear all the time when I'm out with TQ, from children and adults alike, "Look, a wiener dog!". And they get SO excited as if they've never seen one.
I'm one of those crazy people that when I'm driving down the street, and I see someone walking their Doxie, I have to pull over and pet the dog. I'm trying to organize a dachshund event to benefit AADR.
So, I'm out there trying to 'meet and greet' every Doxie and their owner that I can!
If I can get this put together, it would be fun to do a DIC skit and meet all of you and your furbabies! I'm trying to get this together for sometime next fall-
I'm the same way, Marjorie, I go up to every doxie I see, and I always find that the owners are as crazy as I am about them!
That would be awesome if we could arrange a DIC skit!!
I second that motion Marjorie and Gothgirl on the DIC skit.
