My elderly aunt listens to fox news and it is the most hate filled bunch of garbage I have ever heard and she listens to right winged radio..oh my....that stuff is just horrible...I am so thankful to have a brain and I am thankful for having lived all over the world. garbage in, garbage out is my motto...No fox news for me!

I get my most complete and objective world news from Al Jazeera. Imagine the reaction I get from neocons who have never checked it out. OK, so you don't have to imagine...

So right Pamela, Americans should spend more time learning about other countries so they can have a balanced opinion instead of thinking everything American is the best. I don't hate America but feel sorry for the people that adopt this credo and think the rest of the world has little to offer.
As for Fox News, IMO it can only appeal to the undereducated like many of the elderly that have not had a higher education.

It's really silly thinking being that most Americans have ancestors who come from other countries. It's like putting down your grand or great grand parents who came from Europe. Some of us Americans just don't use common sense.

You got that right! It's like the joke about selling men's brains for more than women's because men's are so seldom used. At least I think that's the way that joke went. That's the way I remember it.

I just mentioned in another thread that my husband watches Fox News. He believes all that crap. I know many educated people that believe all that crap (friends). I am truly the odd man out around here-ha,ha,ha.

I don't think educated people believe that crap on Fox Noise. I just think they like to use the talking points to annoy those who can't stand to listen to that crap. But I hope the they keep listening. The more they gain in the ratings, the more people leave the Republican party.

They may not absolutely believe it all, but they certainly will and do stand by it. Why? I have not a clue-damndest thing I have ever seen. Even in the face of absolute fact and truth. OWWWW..makes ma head hurt...
