1,000 children die of the H1N1

How many more before people get angered at this Government -maybe your own?

The hearings about the H1N1 flu the Government official for healthcare part of this admitted they are at fault and should have started earlier - admitted they were wrong - which has killed 1,000 babies/kids so far and it will be so much more before this is all over with because of their stupidity. Kids are waiting in line, but adults also that are not pregnant, "it is a hell with you and get me first attitude".

What a world we live in when hell with you attitudes are going to be the cause of children and pregnant women's death and that for one makes me ill to see it happen. One fellow was telling people it was pregnant women and children first and did the people care - no way. Unbelievable!

This country's people need a wake-up call and sooner more then later. Hatred and anger for the Government and for those people who give a hell with you attitude is where I'm at right now in my life after seeing this being played out on TV on Channel 58 in Milwaukee. They were so selfish, that alot of people didn't receive the shot, for everyone wanted it and it wasn't suppose to be that way. It was only suppose to be for children and pregnant women. What a damn society.

from the CDC: 76 children have died from the H1N1 flu since the virus was discovered in April, which appears to be a higher rate than pediatric deaths caused by the seasonal flu. 60 - 70 percet had a previous condition now this is still higher then the past thee seasons.
I could give those numbers but i need to have some fun 1 trillion unborn babies die from H1N1 and the government won't give out the vaccine because they would have to admit it comes from extra terrstrial DNA. (got this idea from A.A.)

Let's go with some actual facts:
According to CDC there have been several million confirmed cases of "swine flu" in the US since April. Slightly more than 1000 folks have died, nearly 100 of them children. Seasonal flu generally claims the lives of several thousand people each yr in the US. Viruses mutate; at this point, h1n1 is a relatively mild influenza. Of course this could change and quickly. The govt and it's hand maiden the media have done almost nothing to educate the public and eveything to frighten them about this. Virtually all flu deaths are among the "at risk groups" who should seek vaccination; if you don't know if you are "at risk", shame on you and go see a doctor.

I know about the seasonal flu and how many die - but even the CDC thinks this quite odd and of 1,000 are children and that is a fact from what the CDC in Wisconsin and the media found out when I put this on here.

So tell that to those who have buried their children in the United States.

If you would have watched the hearings on TV you would have had your facts, you ignorant people. The hearings were on TV for all to see, but it is obvious to me that you don't want to hear the truth about how this Government is run. Sad for you, but eye-opening to me. LOL LOL LOL

Yichel - you don't know what you're are talking about. Read the newspapers I posted on another message and then get your facts. The hearings were eye-opening about how this Government screwed up.

maybe a link directly to the CDC would straighten out the numbers. OK, never mind.

Bacterial Infections Can Be Deadly for Some Patients With H1N1 Swine Flu

By Daniel J. DeNoon

Sept. 30, 2009 -- Bacterial infections play a major role in H1N1 swine flu deaths, the CDC warns.

The swine flu bug can cause fatal pneumonia all by itself. But in a large number of cases it gets help from other deadly germs that take advantage of a weakened immune system and cause pneumonia.

A CDC investigation into 77 U.S. swine flu deaths found that 22 of the victims -- 29% -- suffered from at least one bacterial co-infection.

Ten of the 22 infections were caused by pneumococcus, an infection that can be prevented with either of two approved pneumococcal vaccines. The vaccine is recommended for any adult who has asthma or smokes, has a long-term health problem or immunity-lowering condition, or is over 65. It's routine for kids to get a four-dose series beginning at age 2 months.

Only 16% of the 18- to 49-year-olds who should get pneumococcal vaccine actually do so. The CDC is asking doctors to specifically target this population for vaccination this flu season.

Drug-resistant staph infection -- MRSA -- was involved in five of the deaths.

Earlier CDC reports found that H1N1 swine flu deaths tended to be caused by direct infection of the lungs with the new flu bug. That may have caused doctors to let down their guard against bacterial infections in flu patients.

That's a big mistake. Because very few bacterial infections can be detected with routine blood tests, the CDC now advises doctors who suspect bacterial infections in swine flu patients to treat them with anti-flu drugs and antibiotics.

When flu takes a turn for the worse, it's important to seek medical care right away. The CDC report carries dramatic examples of H1N1 swine flu deaths with bacterial infections:

A 2-month-old girl, with no known underlying condition, died with pneumococcal infection after an illness of only one day.
A 9-year-old girl with no reported underlying condition died with a strep infection after an illness of six days.
A 34-year-old man with high blood pressure and obesity died with pneumococcal infection after an illness of about three days.
For the 17 patients whose length of illness was known, illness ranged from one to 25 days with a median duration of six days.

Among the 22 patients who died of H1N1 swine flu with bacterial co-infection, ages ranged from 2 months to 56 years, with a median age of 31 years.

The CDC reports the findings in an early-release issue of Morbidity and Mortality Weekly
