Jack Reacher stories

I know we've discussed him and Lee Child many times, but I just have a quick question. I've never read any of these- should I start at the beginning, start with the latest one or what? Could someone just point me in the right direction? Thanks!

I'm not as big a Jack Reacher fan as some here, although I've read a few of that series and did enjoy them. I do think from that, that it would be best if you started at the beginning, although the world wouldn't end if you didn't. :D

My son and I are both Reacher fans. I picked up one and then had to hunt the rest of them down.

I started with one of his latest and then started at the beginning. I've read them all now, and probably will again at a later time.

I am a very strong Reacher fan, and recommend that you start at the beginning, as there are several back stories running about Reacher's history and past associations. I love seeing the long-view story arc and finding the little nugets from the past in each book. I f you are not in it for more than the quick read, it won't make any difference. Hope thsat helps!

Thanks all of you! I'm thinking of going to the library and getting the oldest one they have and starting there. Seems most of you, even if you didn't start near the beginning, ended up reading them all anyway!
