They are fired to 04. They go thru the dishwasher pretty good. As for the brushes they have very fine hair and length of the hair part is about 2". The other brushes i use are sable ones i bought in Florence made for majolica work. They were cheaper than brushes here but not the bargains you can find in Asia.
I know, I paid $47 for a liner brush from the Oregon Brush guy that is at NCECA every year. It was sable or something similar. Only 1/8" wide but 1 1/2" long. It's great for stains and oxides.
I think my husband said they only cost him a few dollars in Korea. The other brushes ran me about 12-20 dollars in Florence at Zecchio's of course this was several years ago when the dollar was stronger against the Euro. The ones from Korea were a set of liner brushes. A good brush can sure make a big difference.
