Happy birthday, my funny, happy, full of life beautiful girl. You should have turned 22 today - still in the beginning of your life. Your sisters and I celebrated your life with a group of your friends today. They shared some happy memories with us. It was a relief to be around people that were not afraid to mention your name. People that miss you and knew you and loved you. I hope you know how many people cared about you. I don't think you realized it before.

I try so hard to think of happy times...........celebrate you life. That sounds so right. It really was nice to hear the stories.....the funny happy times. But to be honest Rachel.........I am still just so sad. Crushed. In disbelief. I miss you. I want this to be a big mistake. Just a nightmare. I pretend to be moving forward.......I think it makes others more comfortable.

I love you and you will live on in my heart for as long as I live.

I miss you..............I wish I could give you a big birthday hug.

I am glad you wer able to spend the day with people she loved, the pain is always here, but friends sharing thier love for our children brings a candle to the darkness!

Doesn't it make you feel better to be with people who aren't afraid to say her name? Keeping your beautiful daughter's memory alive is so healing. Remembering the funny things and the times you all laughed and the special times you had together is so special. We cannot touch them or hug them or kiss them again but we can re-live wonderful memories. It's all we have sometimes which makes them all the more precious.

Happy Birthday Rachel. I didn't know Rachel, but I know the love you gave--you whole heart. I'm glad you passed the day with fond memories. Happy Birthday Rachel. You are important and people should speak your name and talk about how you made them happy, made them laugh, how you made them love you. I missed wishing Rachel happy birthday but I am sure Damian did. The only reason is because of my ongoing computer problems. So Rachel I hope all those guys and gals up there had a flapping wingy time on your special day!
