Where did you work before age 25?

We've had some great messages lately.

Bobby working at the Pfister and Mike possibly boing there, brought up other ways we may have crossed.

So I worked at a music store in Reedsburg during high School, the Dimen Dollar in WI Dells during the summers, also cooked breakfast at a cafe in the Dells, taught piano and guitar in EauClaire, sang in bands and played anything I could get paid for, and had my first real job working for a job training program CETA in Galena IL.

So has anyone crossed these paths. Where were you?

I left High School early, at 16 I worked at a Cadillac dealership on North and Lisbon Avenues... King Cadillac in Milwaukee.

I aslo worked at "Chicken Delight" a chicken take out and delivery place, and work in a 2 man business in the basement too that now is a large business... Alto Sham.

Drafted and went to NAM, came home and tried college, work and party. Work and party won and didn't get past two years school back then (all A's, cept on B. Continued working at King Cadillac (when I wasn't drunk) till I opened up my own shop. That failed, then back to King Cadillac, then sobered up and drove semi for a year.... then finally to pushing a broom at the post office.

Did we work at the P.O. at the same time, and at the same P.O.? I was at the main post office on St. Paul for the summer of 1973 and then from 1975 to 1976. I worked in the garage painting trucks during the summer of '73, and also did very light maintenance on the trucks -- made sure they had gas and oil. My favorite part was going to some of the other P.O.s in the area to put gas in the trucks - only the P.O. would pay two guys to drive to these stations to check the gas levels in trucks when the drivers were supposed to fill their trucks when their shift ended! From '75 to '76 I was a mail sorter at the main Post Office downtown. I quit to go back to school. Both times I worked the night shift and hated it!

Very interesting. We loved the chicken at Chicken Delight.

Improvable - are you talking about Alto Sham in Menomonee Falls ? If so I did all the Floral Arrangements for the Board Room. It was a beautiful room. Nothing but the best in there.

My first job was working at Indian Trails campground in Pardeeville, WI,. doing various jobs for a couple of years. After that I worked a few years at the Piggly Wiggly in Portage, WI. And no, it wasn't me who put your bananas in with the frozen foods or hard cans. And I didn't pack your eggs and bread on the bottom of the bag, either! Nope, it wasn't me! I always packed every bag as if it was for my mama!
