. . . could be the meds i am on. but i do not understand what you are trying to say.
EXACTLY!!
It might be the meds you're on.
Love it!!!
Baxton - please explain.
Geez Baxter, sounds like you are having a rough day. It does seem that there are pills on the market for EVERYTHING these days and you just need to pick which one makes you feel better, depending if you are happy, sad, or just need a mood adjustment. If you need a diagnosis call me in the morning.....lol
The plethora of ads on TV for prescription drugs cover almost every kind of syndrome, illness or disease, not just depression. My objection to all the advertising is that a lot of people are very suggestible and will instantly go to their doc and demand whatever drug they think they need, even though they probably don't have the problem it is supposed to help. The FDA did us no favors by allowing all the pharma companies to put these ads on TV. If you go to the doc and tell him your symptoms and he prescribes something, that is one thing. But if you see an ad on TV and think you need it, that's wholly something else. It's just drumming up business where before there used to be either none or not so much of it. It is putting a suggestion in someone's mind about something they may not really suffer from. This is what snake oil salesmen do and it's fraudulent.
Actually, I'm not having a rough day. I'm just concerned about those who feel the need to dope people up to the point of oblivion. Some poor sap who says, "My house was foreclosed, my dog died, my kids never call, I lost my job, my neighbors stole my hose, a tree fell on my car, and Publisher's Clearinghouse called, and said I owe THEM money!. . . . I must be suffering from depression, because I don't feel happy for some reason. . . . ". Misery is nature's way of motivating people. And many people think that "taking medicine" is not the same as "doing drugs". And that's dangerous. Imagine the senate and congress on mind altering drugs-- Like Xanex. Impossible? The water in Washington has been shown to contain Xanex due to people flushing them into the system. When was your representative last tested for drugs?
Now where did I put my happy dust. . . . . . . .
well, i am on some heavy duty pain killers to combat the cancers that broke every bone on top right side of rib cage and caused massive nerve damage that affect the right half of my body.
they almost help but really screw with my head.
Baxtor....being in the medical field myself it really is quite sad how many people these physicians have on Anti-Depressants too! We need to work somethings out for ourselves without the Medication Route. Now some folks really do need them....but I seriously doubt the amount that is on them.
Yeah, I feel the biggest drug dealers aren't loitering around schoolyards, they are on TV and in all the print media, drumming up maladies they can medicate with side effects they can also medicate......
Take note sometime how much of the news, story themes, TV programs, Movies, magazine articles are medically oriented. And it rarely deals with fractures, cuts and bruises and such, but always mental or bodily functions that can dealt with chemically or with some highly sophisticated technical surgery or analysis. Kiss the boo boo don't work no more unless of course a medicated lip balm is applied first......
Its a con game............
