Snotty requests for help

Now this irritates me no end. I volunteered to pick up messages for the local low-cost spay and neuter program in my county. Probably a mistake...but..... I picked up messages yesterday and got one from a gal who stared out like this...

"Hi this is Megan (**insert snotty and condescending tone here) and I've been calling you for weeks with no return calls so I'm just trying again. I have two dogs and I need them spayed, and I can't afford to pay for the service. Please call me back, (** accelerate snotty tone here) 'this time' so I can setup an appointment.'

I would have preferred the direct approach...
"Hey you morons, this is Megan and I DEMAND that you get off your lazy asses and call me back and setup appointments at my convenience so that you can pay for my dogs to be spayed."

Poor Baxtor....off the mark again......

The reason there is no 'evidence' of her call is because she didn't call....until Saturday. At that time she complained about the program's phone number changing....nope; she's been calling the OTHER program in a town near this one. So she apologized for her error...ha ha ha just kidding..she then blamed us.

Hometowngirl; there are lots of people who read into a post what they want in order to harass and criticize or belittle other members; sometimes they get a taste of their own medicine.

I think this group has taught me something, that it isn't worth time or trouble to butt heads......I have finally grown up........everyone has their own way of thinking things out or has their own opinion, and, as I have said in the past, we are not all going to agree with each other. Life is just too short to worry about anything anymore...........BUT we do have the right to vent and be pissed off about somethings that get to us and that is exactly what this group is about.......ah......vent.....breathe.... .....I feel better:-)

Hometowngirl; there are lots of people who read into a post what they want in order to make anything about them. Being the victim of harassment or criticism is a way of getting attention. Albeit negative attention.
In which case, we just smile and say, Yeah, you're right!

Baxtor, My Love, your reply does not surprise me.........I am glad we are friends it's too bad people do not realize that we judge each other by what we say, when, in reality, we all could be friends! Language is such an inexact form of communication. You really can't judge a person by what they say; You can only judge what they say, by what they say. You have no control over what someone says or does, and likewise they have none over you. Unless you allow them to. So if people piss you off, it's only because you allow them to have that control over you.
