loved the help. was one of my favorite books that i read this summer. you should know that "the help" is literally about household help. when i was told about the book, i never realized it was about household help and the time period. so interesting.

The Help is the best book I've read this year. Loved the characters and was so sorry when it ended.

I haven't read it yet but gave it to a good friend based on what others had said her. Her husband is in the hospital & it gave her a new book while she sat with him. She loved, loved, loved it. Can't wait to borrow it from her!

Thanks for all the comments, I think I have a winner. As for the cruise, honesty prices are down so much that it is a reasonable vacation. I'm paying $629 for 7 nights going to Cozamel, Great Caymens and Belize. Of course I have to get to Tampa from South Carolina but there are 8 people going to celebrate friends 40th anniversary.
I'll let you all know about "The Help" as well as the cruise sometime in November (which is coming fast!)
