What I Did This Summer
I can't speak for Search, but the short version of what I did this summer was get divorced, put down my dog of 16 years, move my mother from independent living to hospital to rehab to assisted living to hospital to hospice to cremation, and take care of my sister's three kids while she was in the hospital having the 4th. Oh, yeah, and I worked about 50 hours a week, got a new dog, and am still trying to get the leak in my roof fixed.
Somehow, Eons just didn't make it onto the "todo" list. But, I'm mostly just settling my mother's estate, housebreaking my dog, and working about 50 hours a week, now, so I hope I'll be back. I've been saving up tons of poems I hoped to post, so I'll try to dole them out in digestible bits.
I did miss you all, though!
