There are no posts on Phoenix Singles about anybody attending, but there is a post from AJGirl last year on where we parked. She suggested we park in the lot off of Encanto between 12th Ave and 15th Ave which is near the pond. Encanto Blvd is an easy street to find too.

I think the count is right, Casey, and if anybody brings friends that's fine too. I am really looking forward to seeing everybody. The 7-day weather report today shows the weather next Sat to be in the low 70s which is great for sitting outside.
Crowlady, in going through the posts, it looks like everybody is bringing something different and since we are all responsible for bringing our own food and beverage, etc, I think we will be okay.
There will be burgers and hot dogs along with buns (mustard and mayo), chicken, potato salad, macaroni salad, veggie tray, chips and salsa, lots of desserts, water and ice. Tables and tablecloths are coming as well as plastic utensils. A cooler is also coming for the ice and to store the salads if needed. If you need a few cups, please bring your own. I have already packed a bag with a plastic platter, large fork, knife, onion, napkins. If we all bring our own chair we should be good to go!!
If anybody likes to play games or cards bring those to. I just saw the Christmas edition of Jenga and I forgot how much fun it is. I'm going to see if Walmart has it on sale and pick it up. If you would like some music bring your boom-box.

I am stillbinging charcoal if needed, I haven't decided yet what else to bring at this point. I will be bringing one extra person though. My youngest daughter arrived last week and moved in with mom, she and baby to be are adjusting as we are.
It's getting close everybody...I'm really looking forward to seeing you all. Kerry & I will be making some BIG Eons signs to hang up so we can find each other. I'm thinking a spot close to where we were last year, but closer to the water and grass and trees. We'll see what we can do.

Keeshakay, we've already got the charcoal and lighter fluid, will bring my grill and burger flipper.

Woohooooo it is getting closer and coming together well. I picked up supplies today plasticware, cups, plates, napkins and tablecloths. I will be buying food thursday and making the cheesecake brownies.
I am sooooo looking forward to meeting all of you. It is going to be a great day.
Where to meet:
The park has 3 parking lots. Lets all park in the lot on Encanto Blvd between 12th Ave & 15th Ave. (Encanto Blvd is just south of Thomas Rd.) We'll make up signs that say EONS That a Way! and try my best to get us a good spot by that parking lot, in the grass by the water and trees. If I remember from last time, you cross over the bridge and turn right, we'll be over there in the grass someplace.

Thanks for EVERYONE working to make this thing work! Just got two cakes done, Cherry Cheese Cake for the picnic and a spice cake for Monday for my wife's birthday!! I've got my dry goods packed (BUNS, plates and so on) and now feel READY!
