I'm an ignorant savage who knows almost nothing about musical instruments. Was quite surprised to find that over on You-Tube some people are doing some quite nice music on ukes. There are even banjo versions of ukes. When I get a spare minute I will try to look up some of the better videos involving ukes and post something here. But for right now....off to bed.
But why?? Why did you buy it? If you wanted to toss money away you could have tossed it to me. I make about the same sort of noise as a uke.
I can make many, many noises. I can make noise to the tune of Norwegian Wood and there would be no learning curve. Think of me before you buy another instrument. I'll make noise for money.

I used to play OTR on my electronic keyboard thingy. Heart and Soul was the other piece of my repertoire.
There is a ukelele group here in Bend that meets regularly, I've seen in in the Calendar section. One more reason for MechMash to Move Up Here.
Ukuleles just remind me of Arthur Godfrey, and Mechelle is probably too young to remember him. I used to try to play the guitar, but found it difficult after I cut my finger on a cat food can. Can play the keyboard a little. I envy your musical ability.
