I was once a salesman in Washington. I've never heard anything of the sort to which you allude.
Well, how much profit did your company show per fiscal year from the VISA/AMEX accounts of starving people??
And framing your statement in the past tense may also point to the fact that whatever company you WAS with, soon learned that starving people don't leave a big blip on the retail radar.
