I do pencil drawings and oil paintings. Usually the pencil drawings are the beginning of an oil painting. When I was young I use to love water color. I do love looking at other peoples work.

Clay and glaze, but I begin with paper and pencil ... I make too many mistakes to start with pencil on tile if the subject is over six tiles big. The Waxline works best with less erasing before applying the waxline. I find that if I erase around the waxline, the glaze tends to pull away when fired, leaving a gap between the waxline and the glaze. Since the waxline is used to make a barrier so different glazes don't interact with each other during firing as a rule, I want to have to fire it only one time, but sometimes I may fire a tile upto four times before I am happy with it.
JohnHenry753,
Do you sell any of your tiles? I haven't sold any paintings. I'm filling my own walls up first. If I get too many then I might try to sell. I just started painting again in 2007 after many years of being too vusy. That's how long I've been oil painting too. I paint large canvas's of whatever I think is cool.
