Front Porch Fitness

Exercise - the bane of my existence... a continuous source of annoyance... a disturber of my peace.

I know I need to exercise. I feel better when I do. But why do those exercise machines keep staring at me everytime I go into my garage? I can hear them talking about me amongst themselves, and they're not saying nice things either.

I'll get to it when I get to it and no sooner and that fitness equipment talking about me behind my back and even in my face sometimes is not gonna make me move any faster toward fitness. (which of course is what I need to do...move faster, OR move at all) Well, at the least, my fingers are in fine shape from all of this typing.

Join us again as we try to motivate one another to get in shape.

PS. Nooo. I do not actually hear my exercise equipment talking. But I did catch them pointing at me once...and laughing.

LOL MaidMim! Love your story.
I foud that the guilt of not using them was causing more stress than the actual exercise itself, so I gave them away! Now, I focus on using my own body as the equipment! It's a great time for walking, the cool air and fallling leaves are refreshing. My daughter encouraged me to bike ride with her, it's wonderful, better than a stationary bike for sure!
If I miss a day, or two, I don't have anything pointing fingers at me!

Sounds like mine. I went to the doctor last week. He says," Are you excersizing?" " i said, " twice a wee." He said " that is betetr than nothing but you wont reap the benefits. You need to exersize three to four times a week for your heart. " I did not want to hear that. but he is right. My fingers get plenty of exersie too!~
