it is unusual for me to wear my lid though i carry it most times in case i go out of state. i must admit i have been thinking more about that after my last accident.

I live in a state that requires one, but when I ride in other states that don't, I still wear one
not required in oHIo so i rarely wear one .
Always wear it. It keeps the bugs and rain off my face.

had I been wearing a helmet when I had my accident the extra weight would have probably snapped my neck. no helmet probably saved my life.

Interesting
Before the advent of helmet laws I was in an ancident and not wearing a helmet. I was knocked unconcscience and ended up with lacerations on the side of my face and nearly lost my left ear. I still bare the scares and they make good converstion but all in all not worth it. I always wear a helmet on the road or on the trail when riding an ATV quad or a snowmobile. I live in Michigan where we have a helmet law but I would still choose to wear one. It looks so strange to see riders without a helmet.

Last I heard Larry and it has been a couple of years they repealed that law in Michigan. I was ridding up there every weekend and only the locals would even bother to ticket you because the state could not supply a list of acceptable helmets making it unconstitutional. I am not saying don't wear one but I am for freedom of choice

Yeh, I agree with you 100% on both counts. It depends where you ride in the state whether you will get a tickdet and I too believe in freedom of choice. When I ride in Ohio, I still wear a helmet (most of the time).
Yes, I do. I make a living using what's left of this ol' brain. I could get around the building I work at in a wheelchair, but couldn't do the job having had a brain injury (although working for the government, no one would know the difference) Cheers Diana
My home state now requires a helmet. In the past there was a time when you could make the choice. At that time I would wear a helmet most of the time. Then there were occasions when I prefered not to. I say let those who ride decide.
