Checking in!

First, I want to apologize for not being around more. I have been very busy at work with the end of September also being the end of our Fiscal Year and we are getting ready for a visit from the auditors on October 19th.

Away from work, I am also busy working on my other house (the one that I had rented), repairing, painting, and cleaning, getting ready to move soon before I have a knee replacement coming up in a few weeks - it is all on one floor so I want to get away from the upstairs that I currently am living on before the surgery.

But, at the other house, I will have a great area for Scrapbooking. There is a large den across the back of the house and I am taking one end of it for my Scrapbooking area. I will set up my desk with a table on each side and have my computer, Cricut, and all supplies there together. Then, I will be able to actually work on my albums! Right now, part of it is upstairs and part of it is downstairs, and I never have what I want handy when I need it.

The leaves here in KY are just beginning to change color and I think we will have a pretty Fall as we have had a lot of rain all summer. I hope to get out and take some pictures of the foliage and maybe a Fall Festival, and it is time to make a trip to the Apple Orchard.

What are all of you doing this Fall? Any nice vacations scheduled? Let us hear from you about what you have been doing.

Hi Betty,

It IS fall here in PA. We actually have had frost warnings and the leaves are very beautiful and falling all over the yard! I am in a play and have been attending play practice just about every night, so the yoga and aerobics classes have been put on hold. Plus I was assigned another state with the Reagan Round Up. We are also getting ready for the big food fair with our hospital Auxiliary and I will have to work both days for that.. I just joined an investment club which is fun, but when people know you are accountant, you end up being treasurer....so, I am Treasurer with the Sportsman's Club, the hospital Auxiliary, and our Investment Club. Then...there is work! A new client, thank heavens, is keeping me busy.

We are having a scrapbooking scrap in two weeks, so I will be able to get lots of work done. I can typically get about 10-15 pages done in the two day time! Looking very forward to that. I purchased the patriotic Cricut package at Michaels for $40!!!!! So my soldier scrapbook will probably be the one I work on.

Glad you are getting your new place organized Betty. Have fun.

Wow, Judy! And I thought I was busy! I have so much to do before I can take off to have my knee replacement, but it is to the point that it really bothers me climbing up and down a ladder to paper and paint so it is a slow-go. Usually after a day of painting, I can barely get around for two or three days.

I won't be going to Indiana to visit my brother this weekend so I will have two days to work and should get a lot done. I hope to move in the next two to three weeks. Then, I have to get the house we're moving out of cleaned and ready to rent, which I dread!

I will be off work for about six weeks following surgery so I plan to spend a lot of that time while at home working on my scrapbooking. That's why I have to get everything done before the surgery.

I am an active member of the Friends of the Library and participate in some of the programs offered there, and attend some Geneology meetings when I can. If work didn't interfere with my personal life, I could have a lot more fun!

Geneology meetings sound fun. I worked on that a few years back, and then hubbie deleted the data from my computer!!! We were able to pull most of it back from Geneology.com where I had it posted, but all of the people who were still alive were missing names and date of births (to protect the innocent I guess) I just have not had the heart to pick it up again. Our big Auxiliaary bake sale is tomorrow, made coffee cakes with a friend yesterday. The play is this weekend and next, since this is my first play since High school...I am nervous, even though my part is very small. Well, I better get running. Keep us filled in on how you surgery goes. Good Luck.
