Depends if you want to sell it or not. You should get a few giclees printed or keep at least a 600dpi jpeg to have giclees made. I keep most of my originals and only sell the giclees that I make. Seems I only sell about 10 a year. But I do no promoting or listing any where. Just walk in or word of mouth.
You might start at $700.
Listen to Richard, he seems to be the only one selling anything. Prints are the best way to go. Keep the original for a serious collector.
Wow......never too old to learn. This one was commissioned and I priced it at $225. I never know how good it is, and I'm not always very busy so I figured I price too high. Thanks, Richard, it gives me something to think about.
I've kept my originals and had prints, including greeting cards at Kinko's, made to give as gifts or sell. I'm especially glad I did when something seasonal fits an occassion perfectly. It saves me having to come up with something new.
I've never had a print made. I mostly paint for requested subjects. Or something grabbed my eye, painted it and put it somewhere to sell. I have one painting in my house. All the rest were for sale or family presents.
I have no idea about how to make a print. Is there a discussion about this on here anywhere? If not, can one of you folks expand on this subject? A good print would make nice presents. Thanks
There have been good posts here and in art school group about a year ago on geeclays.
