Society and the Law of God

I thought you might be interested in a series I am beginning in the Examiner. I'm going to be looking at the implications of the Ten Commandments for a nation that claims to be Christian. I plan to follow it up (much later) with a series on the Lord's Prayer.

Here is the first article: view link

Kaitiki, I found your article very to the point & look forward to reading more. Unfortunetly, I agree with Nina's comment, that we have become a nation that is Christian in name only. It is a very sad state & I fear one that will take us down the same road as many other past civilizations who ignored God.

Humanly speaking, I agree with you. But that's not my responsibility. Like the watchman on the wall it is my responsibility to speak of what I see. If there's danger approaching I need to warn of it and to draw as many to see so some may be saved.
I posted the third article today and begin working on the second commandment later today. One other comment writer said she thought all that is likely to happen is that people will stop calling themselves a Christian nation. It's more honest and makes the task of the Church clearer. While they claim to be Christian we must warn of the danger from without and urge them to repair the walls - once they cease to claim the name we need to warn them of the danger they face of everlasting Hell and urge them to repent and turn to the God they rejected.
