Father,
We ask you to watch over Greg Smith; guide his steps in this dangerous place. Be his refuge from the horror of war; let him find peace in El Shalom.
And, Father, we ask you to provide for Melissa and Aizik. Be the strong tower that they can run to when they are worried or afraid. Supply their needs -- both physical and emotional needs.
May this time of stress strengthen the family's trust in You as they depend on you.
Thank you that you love these people more than anyone on earth could love them. We know that you have a plan for them and a purpose. May Your will be accomplished in their lives.
We ask this in the name of Your Son, our Savior.

Lord I too ask you protection and peace of mind for Greg and the men with him. I pray that Psalm 91 would be a reality in their lives as they protect freedom in your name.
I pray protection and peace of mind over his family here in the U. S. as well and happiness for the family as they celebrate the 1st birth of this beautiful child that You have blessed them with.
And I agree with all that Ok. . . has prayed in You Sweet Name. Amen.
number1sis: I thank God for your nephew's service. His bravery and dedication are more appreciated than he will ever know. And I also thank God for the devotion of his family who are also serving in a different but invaluable way. I pray that Jesus will watch over him, protect him and send him home safely. I pray that all our prayers reach him and he knows that God loves him, Jesus died for him and he has salvation through Christ.
Thank you all for your prayers and for your encouragement. Hopefully Melissa and Aizik will be up this way in November. I'm praying they can be here for the birth of Kristen (Greg's sister) and Nate's baby (due around 11/18 and also for our Family Thanksgiving on the 28th.
