Now I'm reading that this did not just affect Hotmail, but also Gmail, Yahoo and many other email providers.
Probably the best advice for anyone using a web based email provider is change your password now.
I've also read a suggestion to change email passwords every 90 days.

AD...was that on Hotmail or one of the other email providers?
I changed my Hotmail password first thing after reading the blog. No problems.
I haven't verified this but in the Computers Technology and Internet Solutions group, one member posted this information...
It appears the Hotmail accounts were gotten through a breach of the system, but the other accounts were gotten by phishing attacks. There are now phishing emails taking advantage of this mess by asking for users to give their passwords to verify/validate their accounts. There are apparently quite a lot of people willing to give this information as the number of usernames plus passwords continues to rise.

If you should receive an email of this nature...please do not respond to it.
If you have concerns about your email account and password...check out the provider's help and/or FAQ section. Usually there will be information on how to change your password and sometimes information on how to contact them.
