Hubby and I began this business 10 months ago.

My husband and I are independent Avon Representatives. We began this business in our home early this year. Avon set us up with our own website so customers can shop from it. We love our product and enjoy meeting new people. If you would like to buy or sell Avon, please visit our website www.youravon.com/tkowaleski or view link

We are looking for ways to grow our online business. We are getting new customers here in town, but really need to find new ways to attract them to our website. Does anyone have ideas along those lines?

The method that has worked wonders for me is YouTube videos. They are easy to make and free to post, then you can embed them into websites or blogs to get more exposure. People don't just want links to a business, they want to see how it is working for you and what you do. If they identify with the solution you are applying and they have the same problems, why wouldn't they try it? So tell your story, don't just pitch them.

Thanks for the idea. I've never made a video, but when I find someone with a camera we will give it a try!

Post your link at directories or sites that might appeal to your avon. Women sites and so on. You need to get marketing online to grow online.

I agree. They still have great stuff and lots of bundles of like merchandise for one price.

I don't know what sites Swaphandmedowns means do you? I know Eons and a little bit about facebook and that's it. We have our ad posted on facebook. The business is in my husbands name so it has to go on his thing.

Cloudyblue, waiting around for a camera will get you exactly what you have now, nothing. Even a standard digital camera can produce a slide show and most of them will even do video clips you can string together with Windows Movie Maker that comes free on most computers. If you don't have a digital camera either, download some free images from Stock Photo sites and use them to create a slide show. Then get a free copy of Audacity and record a sound track to go with it and even include some free Creative Commons music in the background. It's easy to think of many reasons why you can't do something, but more productive to think of ways you can.

Well I'm with you on this oldbuddy. This post got my mind in gear. I will think on this one a bit and see what I can come up with. A story line of sorts of our stuff and what we do. Thank you.

Don't forget to come back and let us know how it works out, or ask more questions if you need help. Seeing you take action is reward enough and I truly hope it might even spur on a few others who wander by and see these posts.

I sure will. I have to get things figured out in my head and then do it. That's the way I operate.
