CARE OF CHINA AND GLASS

I hope this is of use to some. My pieces of china that I keep at home and those in storage, I`ve washed with washing-up liquid. I was told NOT to use that form of cleaner as it contains salt, so I`m told, and non-eco friendly ingredients. Best to use shampoo and finish with clear water -- no dishwasher -- even if the piece`s top coat is marbled.
And that applies to cars, of all ages!

I have a 1950s tomato juice glass pitcher and glasses that I bought recently. A couple weeks after I had them the red tomato design on the pitcher turned a dark metalic color the green of the design wasn't affected neither was any red or green on the glasses any idea what caused this I did clean it with liq. detergent.?

Maybe it was the salt on that particular paint that was used for the red tomato design.
