What is the Unnamed Sword about? Who is the main character?

Gawaine Irby. He must learn the name of his sword forged in the same fire as Excaliber in order to destroy a demigod's pets, the hideous hydras. And, to do that, he embarks on a series of quests that includes saving a girl and her juvenile dragon, winning a joust, and leading medieval knights in a suicidal charge against modern tanks. Just another day in the life for an average knight.

The book can be found on Amazon.com

Len, The Hideous Hydras? That's one that should go over big. I even like the sound of them. I'm glad your knight takes time out to rescue a "Damsel in Distress." There is an old restaurant in Germany that has been there in some form from the days of knights. There are swords, etc on the walls from the era. It was a place with food and drink to rest in before before the next battle. A friend took me there once. I hope it is still in service. I'll check next time I go because it was so interesting to me to be where the knights had been. Well, I suppose most of them were considered "soldiers." The restaurant was for real, not just a place for someone's collection to be displayed.

Actually, his damsel is doing her level best to protect the castle while an invading modern army while he's on his quest. Of course, it helps that Aurora is Thor's youngest daughter and that she's his favorite. Otherwise, she wouldn't be wielding Mjolnar like a long-range howitzer.

Naturally, Aurora becomes deeply suspicious of the girl with the dragon until King Pellinor tells the grim tale of the girl's village at the hands of Donovan Fausto (the demigod) and his raiders. The book was lots of fun to write.

Your characters have great names and the names fit the times.
Sounds like the demigod, Donovan Fausto could be kin to the Dr. Faust of long ago.

There is a connection: both come from the 10th dimension.

Oh, dear. And to think I thought there were only 5 dimensions. I wish there would really be time travel. Think of the possibilites.

In the same town in Germany I mentioned, there is an old house called the Fausthaus. Faust really did live in Bad Kreuznach, in that house. He was a teacher there. If you call it up on the web you may see a pic of it. Part of the house is a restaurant now.

It all has to do with string theory. I'll check into Fausthaus.
